I'm Courtney Gibson

I use my understanding of storytelling in film and design to create an accessible experience that speaks to an inclusive audience.

I'm very proud of my soft skills and have had a keen interest in the developer world ever since my days on MySpace and AngelFire. My background in storytelling has led me toward the user experience side of web development. I value responsiveness and accessibility above all and I would love to learn more about the psychology behind how users interact with the sites I build.

Since Juno, I have been keeping my skills current by building projects and taking courses on UDemy and FreeCodeCamp. I have been using Tailwind for a couple of my projects and I'm working on learning the MERN stack. I'm currently building a project that uses AI voice technology to increase accessibility.

When I'm not coding, I am a nerd for nature. I love being outdoors and identifying plants, trees, and animals (even in winter). I am an avid camper, animal lover, gamer, and cook. My favourite movies are 90's action films like Last Action Hero, but I am also a sucker for E.T., The Professional, And Toys starring Robin Williams.
